93.6% of the population is White, 0.6% is Black or African American, 8.1% is Hispanic or Latino, 1.1% is Asian, 2.4% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.4% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.9% is two or more races.  90.6% have a high school degree or higher, and 26.4% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $168,300, there are 15,435 households, an average of 2.93 persons per household.  The per capita income is $17,839,  the median household income is $42,369, and 20.9% of the persons in Iron County are considered below poverty level.

The total number of firms, at last estimate, was 3,913.  Retail sales (in $1000) were $652,165, and sales per capita were $15,067.  The percentage of black-owned firms is 0%, and the percentage of women-owned firms is 20.5%.
