As of March 28, 2016, you must provide proof to the State Registrar that you have a tangible interest in a record.
Marriage records - Certified copies are not available from the State Health Department. Inquiries will be forwarded to the County Clerk in the county where the license was issued.
Divorce records - Certified copies are not available from the State Health Department. Inquiries will be forwarded to the County Clerk in the county where the divorce was granted.
You can ask the Office of Vital Records to search their records and verify a marriage or divorce between 1969 and September of 2005. They ask for a $10.00 fee for each search. For more information go here.
