VIRGINIA CRIMINAL RECORDS SEARCH

Virginia Criminal Records

1) Virginia Warrants and Most Wanted Directory.  Search for criminal wants and warrants in Virginia.

2) Free searches - listed below. Virginia provides free access to a wide range of criminal record databases. To do your own search we suggest that you start with the resources below under “Featured Public Records.” The case management systems for both Circuit Courts and District Courts allow you to search for virtually any criminal court record in any county. The catch is that you cannot search all counties at once; you must search each county individually. We recommend you focus on the counties where your subject has resided. Also on this page are resources for Virginia Department of Corrections inmates & escapees, statewide registered offenders, PACER U.S. District Court federal criminal court records (an inexpensive pay site), federal Bureau of Prisons inmates, and assorted city and county arrest and crime databases.

3) Virginia State Police. Another option is to use the resource below for the Virginia State Police (VSP) and order a statewide criminal history check. The VSP provides two types of searches: one is available to individuals, the general public, and private companies; the other is available to adoption & foster care agencies, hospital pharmacy employees, adult home care facilities, child care centers; and cities & counties under a duly enacted ordinance. Searches take 12-14 business days and cost $15 each. Certain agencies are allowed a wider search that includes fingerprints and federal criminal records, for a greater fee.

4) Search Systems State, National, and International Criminal Records. Criminals don't stop at state borders.  Expand your search with our Search Systems Premium criminal record database - the largest available to the public online containing over 400 million criminal records in all states.  Includes over 70 national and international terrorist, debarred persons, and most wanted databases.  The cost per search is $14.95 and results are immediate. See Inside Edition's report on YouTube.

Our Virginia records include General District Court and Circuit Court records statewide for felony & misdemeanor convictions through 2009 (Virginia no longer provides updates. Use the free searches links to access current court records); Department of Corrections active parole records; and registered registered offenders. A search of Virginia records only is $9.95, immediate results.
