78.1% of the population is White, 2.3% is Black or African American, 6.8% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.6% is Asian, 13% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 5.8% is two or more races.  80.5% have a high school degree or higher, and 12.9% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $80,100, there are 18,412 households, an average of 2.63 persons per household.  The per capita income is $18,141,  the median household income is $36,542, and 22.2% of the persons in LeFlore County are considered below poverty level.
