94.3% of the population is White, 0.9% is Black or African American, 13.8% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.9% is Asian, 1.5% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.2% is two or more races.  89.6% have a high school degree or higher, and 25.7% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $210,100, there are 58,598 households, an average of 2.45 persons per household.  The per capita income is $26,700,  the median household income is $49,471, and 14.7% of the persons in Mesa County are considered below poverty level.
