Fremont County is located in central Colorado.  The County Seat is Ca?on City and the largest city is Ca?on City.  The Official Web Site is located at http://www.fremontco.com/.  The 2014 population estimate is 46,502 and the 2010 census population was 46,824.  The land area is 1,533.07 square miles and there are 30.5 persons per square mile.

91.6% of the population is White, 4% is Black or African American, 12.8% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.6% is Asian, 2% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.7% is two or more races.  84.1% have a high school degree or higher, and 15.6% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $159,500, there are 16,938 households, an average of 2.10 persons per household.  The per capita income is $18,954,  the median household income is $39,943, and 17.6% of the persons in Fremont County are considered below poverty level.
