Broomfield County is located in north-central Colorado.  It has a consolidated city/county government, and the official name is the City and County of Broomfield.  The Official Web Site is located at http://www.ci.broomfield.co.us/.  The 2014 population estimate is 62,138 and the 2010 census population was 55,860.  The land area is 33.03 square miles and there are 1691.9 persons per square mile.

89% of the population is White, 1.5% is Black or African American, 12.6% is Hispanic or Latino, 5.9% is Asian, 0.9% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.6% is two or more races.  94.9% have a high school degree or higher, and 47.5% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $275,900, there are 22,016 households, an average of 2.59 persons per household.  The per capita income is $37,442,  the median household income is $77,998, and 7.1% of the persons in Broomfield County are considered below poverty level.
