95% of the population is White, 0.8% is Black or African American, 14.2% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.7% is Asian, 1.7% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.7% is two or more races.  90.5% have a high school degree or higher, and 23.6% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $162,600, there are 3,468 households, an average of 2.40 persons per household.  The per capita income is $28,308,  the median household income is $47,104, and 12.1% of the persons in Washakie County are considered below poverty level.
