Johnson County is located in the North Texas Region of Texas.  The County Seat is Cleburne and the largest city is Burleson.    The 2014 population estimate is 157,456 and the 2010 census population was 150,943.  The land area is 724.69 square miles and there are 208.3 persons per square mile.

93% of the population is White, 3.1% is Black or African American, 19.4% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.8% is Asian, 1% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.5% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.7% is two or more races.  83.1% have a high school degree or higher, and 16.7% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $113,900, there are 52,044 households, an average of 2.87 persons per household.  The per capita income is $24,816,  the median household income is $57,535, and 12% of the persons in Johnson County are considered below poverty level.

The total number of firms, at last estimate, was 13,199.  Retail sales (in $1000) were $1,269,633, and sales per capita were $8,490.  The percentage of black-owned firms is 3%, and the percentage of women-owned firms is 23.4%.
