Hunt County is located in the North Texas Region of Texas.  The County Seat is Greenville and the largest city is Greenville.    The 2014 population estimate is 88,493 and the 2010 census population was 86,129.  The land area is 840.32 square miles and there are 102.5 persons per square mile.

87.1% of the population is White, 8.4% is Black or African American, 14.6% is Hispanic or Latino, 1.2% is Asian, 1.2% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.2% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.9% is two or more races.  81.8% have a high school degree or higher, and 16.6% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $93,500, there are 30,756 households, an average of 2.73 persons per household.  The per capita income is $22,341,  the median household income is $44,858, and 19.9% of the persons in Hunt County are considered below poverty level.
