Guadalupe County is located in the South Texas Region of Texas.  The County Seat is Seguin and the largest city is Schertz.    The 2014 population estimate is 147,250 and the 2010 census population was 131,537.  The land area is 711.30 square miles and there are 184.9 persons per square mile.

87.1% of the population is White, 7.7% is Black or African American, 36.6% is Hispanic or Latino, 1.7% is Asian, 1% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.2% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.4% is two or more races.  86% have a high school degree or higher, and 24.6% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $156,000, there are 46,409 households, an average of 2.89 persons per household.  The per capita income is $26,184,  the median household income is $61,958, and 9.7% of the persons in Guadalupe County are considered below poverty level.
