Clay County is located in the North Texas Region of Texas.  The County Seat is Henrietta and the largest city is Henrietta.    The 2014 population estimate is 10,370 and the 2010 census population was 10,752.  The land area is 1,088.72 square miles and there are 9.9 persons per square mile.

95.5% of the population is White, 1% is Black or African American, 5.2% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.2% is Asian, 1.5% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.9% is two or more races.  88.5% have a high school degree or higher, and 18.2% have a Bachelor degree or higher.
