66% of the population is White, 21.1% is Black or African American, 16.2% is Hispanic or Latino, 10% is Asian, 0.6% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.2% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.1% is two or more races.  87.3% have a high school degree or higher, and 38.8% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $286,900, there are 130,754 households, an average of 2.67 persons per household.  The per capita income is $37,465,  the median household income is $73,480, and 11.2% of the persons in Mercer County are considered below poverty level.

The total number of firms, at last estimate, was 30,067.  Retail sales (in $1000) were $5,089,133, and sales per capita were $14,004.  The percentage of black-owned firms is 7.6%, and the percentage of women-owned firms is 29.9%.
