Henry County is located in north-central Georgia.  The County Seat is McDonough and the largest city is Stockbridge.  The Official Web Site is located at http://www.co.henry.ga.us/.  The 2014 population estimate is 213,869 and the 2010 census population was 203,879.  The land area is 322.13 square miles and there are 633 persons per square mile.

54.5% of the population is White, 39.6% is Black or African American, 6.3% is Hispanic or Latino, 3.3% is Asian, 0.3% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.1% is two or more races.  89.5% have a high school degree or higher, and 26.1% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $147,500, there are 69,238 households, an average of 2.97 persons per household.  The per capita income is $25,299,  the median household income is $60,781, and 11.2% of the persons in Henry County are considered below poverty level.

The total number of firms, at last estimate, was 18,508.  Retail sales (in $1000) were $1,907,354, and sales per capita were $10,315.  The percentage of black-owned firms is 28.9%, and the percentage of women-owned firms is 33.6%.
