Fulton County is located in north-central Georgia.  The County Seat is Atlanta and the largest city is Atlanta.  The Official Web Site is located at http://www.fultoncountyga.gov/.  The 2014 population estimate is 996,319 and the 2010 census population was 920,579.  The land area is 526.64 square miles and there are 1748 persons per square mile.

46.9% of the population is White, 44.4% is Black or African American, 7.7% is Hispanic or Latino, 6.3% is Asian, 0.3% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2% is two or more races.  90.4% have a high school degree or higher, and 48.2% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $238,200, there are 368,184 households, an average of 2.49 persons per household.  The per capita income is $36,757,  the median household income is $56,857, and 17.6% of the persons in Fulton County are considered below poverty level.

The total number of firms, at last estimate, was 106,113.  Retail sales (in $1000) were $13,239,670, and sales per capita were $13,363.  The percentage of black-owned firms is 26.7%, and the percentage of women-owned firms is 32.3%.
