79.1% of the population is White, 17.9% is Black or African American, 2.2% is Hispanic or Latino, 1.3% is Asian, 0.3% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.4% is two or more races.  87.4% have a high school degree or higher, and 38% have a Bachelor degree or higher.
