Fillmore County is located in southeastern Minnesota.  The County Seat is Preston and the largest city is Spring Valley.  The Official Web Site is located at http://www.co.fillmore.mn.us/.  The 2014 population estimate is 20,776 and the 2010 census population was 20,866.  The land area is 861.30 square miles and there are 24.2 persons per square mile.

98.3% of the population is White, 0.3% is Black or African American, 1.1% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.4% is Asian, 0.2% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 0.8% is two or more races.  89.3% have a high school degree or higher, and 18.4% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $135,200, there are 8,422 households, an average of 2.43 persons per household.  The per capita income is $25,249,  the median household income is $50,657, and 12.1% of the persons in Fillmore County are considered below poverty level.
