Birth records since 1914. Records of some births that occurred in the major cities from 1881-1913 are also available.
Death records from the past 50 years. Death enumeration records by school district are available for July 1908 through June 1912.
Marriage records from the past 50 years. If the records are not available at the State office, they should be available from the County Clerk in the county where the event occurred.
Divorce records from the past 50 years. If the records are not available at the State office, they should be available from the Clerk of Court in the county where the event occurred.
You may order vital records online with a credit card for an additional fee through Vitalchek (615) 741-0778. If you have an immediate or emergency need for a certified copy and are willing to pay an additional fee of $10.00 for expedited service, you may telephone or fax your request and charge it to your Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express credit card. Your certificate or other response will be mailed to you within one working day of the day received.
