1) Free searches - listed below. Mississippi offers limited criminal records online. If you want to do your own searches for free, we suggest you start with the available county resources below for criminal court records and inmates. Four counties provide court records and four provide inmates. Most databases are free, but a few do require payment. You can also use the statewide resources below to search for federal inmates; Mississippi Department of Corrections inmates; death row inmates; parolees; statewide registered offenders; Supreme Court case dockets; and federal criminal court records (through the inexpensive PACER system).

If you are a health care professional and need to run a state criminal history record check on an applicant, or if you are an applicant, Click on the resource below titled “Criminal Histories (info)” for details on how to submit fingerprints to their Fingerprint Transmission System for an official criminal history search from the Department of Public Safety. This search does not include federal records, so we also recommend a PACER search and a check of federal inmates, per option 1 above.
