Bell County is located in the Central Texas Region of Texas.  The County Seat is Belton and the largest city is Killeen.    The 2014 population estimate is 329,140 and the 2010 census population was 310,233.  The land area is 1,051.02 square miles and there are 295.2 persons per square mile.

68.2% of the population is White, 22.4% is Black or African American, 23.2% is Hispanic or Latino, 3.2% is Asian, 1.1% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.8% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 4.3% is two or more races.  89.5% have a high school degree or higher, and 21.7% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $122,600, there are 104,049 households, an average of 2.95 persons per household.  The per capita income is $22,857,  the median household income is $50,060, and 15.3% of the persons in Bell County are considered below poverty level.
