76.7% of the population is White, 17.5% is Black or African American, 6.6% is Hispanic or Latino, 1.5% is Asian, 1.4% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.4% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.5% is two or more races.  82.4% have a high school degree or higher, and 22.5% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $131,000, there are 18,820 households, an average of 2.65 persons per household.  The per capita income is $23,380,  the median household income is $43,768, and 18.6% of the persons in Coffee County are considered below poverty level.
