Middlesex County government ended in 1997 and does not have an official website The 2014 population estimate is 1,570,315 and the 2010 census population was 1,503,126. The land area is 817.82 square miles and there are 1837.9 persons per square mile.
81.7% of the population is White, 5.4% is Black or African American, 7.3% is Hispanic or Latino, 10.5% is Asian, 0.3% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 2.1% is two or more races. 92.1% have a high school degree or higher, and 50.7% have a Bachelor degree or higher.
