97.7% of the population is White, 0.7% is Black or African American, 3.8% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.4% is Asian, 0.2% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1% is two or more races.  90.5% have a high school degree or higher, and 18.2% have a Bachelor degree or higher.

The median home value is $84,900, there are 4,222 households, an average of 2.28 persons per household.  The per capita income is $26,746,  the median household income is $47,897, and 10.2% of the persons in Humboldt County are considered below poverty level.
