Missing Persons

The two best resources are the "MissingKids" clearinghouse from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the "NamUS" National Missing and Unidentified Persons System that has adult missing, unidentified, and unclaimed persons.  Both are listed below in the "Most Popular" section and are the best places to start.

Not every state hosts a state registry, so if there isn't an official state databases available we've linked to either private non-profit services or to the NamUs system.
