Oklahoma began filing birth and death records in October of 1908. It was not mandatory that these records be filed until 1917. As such, some records prior to 1940 are incomplete or missing.

Birth records since 1908. Note: State will only release Birth Certificates to the individual or parent of the person named on the certificate.

Death records since 1908.

Marriage records are available from the Clerk of Court in the county where the event occurred. For access to online databases and contact information for each county clerk to obtain marriage records, we recommend that you consult our Oklahoma Recorded Documents page.

Divorce records are available from the Clerk of Court in the county where the event occurred.
