Alabama has strict rules about releasing criminal records to the public.
Alabama does not provide county criminal court records online for free. As such, we do not offer an Alabama statewide option in our Premium Criminal Records search. The State only sends us records for current inmates.
For Alabama searches you have three options:
1) Alabama Warrants and Most Wanted Directory. Search for criminal wants and warrants in Alabama.
2) Free & Pay Searches - listed below. You can use the limited resources at the bottom of this page to search for Department of Corrections inmates, escapees, parole violators; registered offenders; federal inmates; federal court records through the PACER system (an inexpensive pay site); and arrests, inmates, and police reports from available counties and cities.
3) Alabama Department of Public Safety. If you are a qualified employer, another option is to use the resource below for the Alabama Department of Public Safety (ADPS) Criminal Information Center and order a statewide criminal history check. For $25, they will provide a report of statewide felony and misdemeanor arrests, charges, and convictions. This does not include U.S. Federal Records, so we recommend a PACER search as well. The ADPS is the ONLY resource that will provide a full Alabama statewide criminal record search.
4) Alabama State Judicial Information System. Anyone can use the resource below for the AL State Judicial Information System, which provides trial court data from all 67 Alabama counties, including criminal, traffic, warrant, civil, and domestic filings. A registration fee of $150 is required, along with monthly service fees. Results are immediate.
Beyond Alabama -- If you are interested in a nationwide search, we offer Search Systems State, National, and International Criminal Records. Be advised, a nationwide search will only include two databases from Alabama - registered offenders and current inmates. Outside of that, it includes over 450 million criminal records in the other 49 states, plus more than 70 national and international terrorist, debarred persons, and most wanted databases.
